Privacy policy
SplitWODz keeps your training data on your own iPhone and Apple Watch. We don't collect it, see it, sell it or share it.
Effective November 6, 2026
The short version
- No account, no sign-in and no servers. SplitWODz doesn't send your data over the internet.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data.
- Apple Health data is used only to show your workout and save it to Health, and is never shared.
- Your data leaves your devices only when you choose to share or export a file.
What the app stores, and where
SplitWODz stores what you enter on your iPhone and your Apple Watch: your weekly plan, exercises (including ones you create), saved workouts and plans, your logbook of sets (weights, reps, distances, times, calories), timers, themes and settings. The iPhone and the Watch exchange this directly with each other using Apple's Watch Connectivity. It doesn't pass through any server of ours.
The app's data is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you use them. Those backups are handled by Apple under your Apple Account, not by us.
Apple Health
If you allow it, SplitWODz works with Apple Health on Apple Watch:
- Saves your strength workouts, with heart rate and active calories, so they count toward your Activity rings.
- Reads your heart rate and active calories live while a workout runs, to show your heart-rate zone and a summary when you finish. The summary (length, average heart rate, calories) is kept in your logbook on your devices.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with third parties and never stored in iCloud by SplitWODz. You can change or remove access at any time in the Health app (your profile picture › Apps › SplitWODz) or in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
Files you share or export
You can share a workout, plan or theme as a .splitwodz file, save a backup, or export your logbook as a spreadsheet. These files go only where you send them (Messages, AirDrop, Mail, Files and so on). Files you import, such as a backup or a history export from Strong or Hevy, are read on your device.
Lock Screen, widgets and the Watch face
While a workout runs, SplitWODz can show your exercise, set and rest countdown on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on your Watch face. Anyone who can see your screen can see this; you can turn the Lock Screen display off in Settings › Workout.
Deleting your data
Delete single workouts in the Logbook, or everything in Settings › Erase all data. Deleting the app from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes its data from those devices. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
Children
SplitWODz isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect anyone's personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever starts to send data off your devices (for example, optional sync), this policy will say so before that happens.
